Maîtrise des risques liés aux émissions des systèmes d’armement

Studies and measurements of ambient air quality

ICPE legislation requires certain industrial activities to carry out an impact study in order to characterize an initial state (interpretation of the state of the environment or IEM) or to assess the impact of pollution on the population (study of health risks or ERS). It also requires certain industrial activities during the operating phase to carry out spot measurement or environmental monitoring campaigns, as part of their operating permit decrees

In this context, Airea has been designing and carrying out ambient air measurement campaigns for many pollutants for the past 20 years :

  • Suspended particulates (PM₂₅, PM₁₀, PM₁₀₀...)

  • Specific compounds in particulate matter (heavy metals, PCDD/F, PAHs...)

  • Chemical pollutants (NO₂, SO₂, benzene, VOCs, NH₃, H₂S...)

  • Dust fallout (total and dry) by gauge (Owen, Hibernia...) or Diem plate.

  • Specific compounds in atmospheric deposits (heavy metals, dioxins and furans, PAHs...)

In addition, Airea can deploy a local meteorological station to measure the main parameters : temperature, rainfall, wind direction and speed (ultrasonic sensor), relative humidity and atmospheric pressure.

Odor studies and measurements

Odors can constitute atmospheric pollution if they cause excessive olfactory nuisance (article L. 220-2 of the French Environment Code). They are caused by odorous chemical compounds (individually or in complex mixtures). These odorous compounds are generally classified into three main families :

  • Sulfur compounds (hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, etc.)

  • Nitrogen compounds (ammonia, amines...)

  • Oxygen compounds (organic acids, alcohols, ethers...)

Depending on the context (preparation of a "Dossier de Demande d'Autorisation Environnementale" DDAE, complaints from local residents, voluntary approach, etc.), Airea offers standardized measurements or approaches adapted to characterize odors emitted by industrial facilities (methanizer, composting plant, sugar refinery, etc.), measure their impact on the environment or estimate the annoyance expressed by neighboring populations :

Other executives

Airea carries out occupational exposure assessments and monitoring for specific cases (excluding decree 2009-1570), with control of regulatory values (VLEP-8h, VLCT). Thanks to its dedicated instrumentation, Rincent Air carries out sampling in compliance with the protocols defined by INRS and other international reference organizations (NIOSH, OSHA, IRSST, etc.).

Our engineers also design and carry out measurement campaigns adapted to the evaluation of air pollution abatement in innovative industrial processes. They can also intervene and support manufacturers in the context of CSR policies, voluntary initiatives or complaints from local residents

Airea has hundreds of references and operates in a wide range of industrial sectors :
