Calculator to convert ambient air concentrations.
Calculator that converts concentrations of air pollutants.
Converter of concentrations in ppm, ppb, µg/m³ and mg/ m³ .
What do these units mean?
The ppb means part per billion in English and part per billion in French. The ppm means part per million in English and part per million in French. These units allow us to know the number of molecules of a pollutant (for example, NH3) in a million molecules of air for the ppm (10⁻⁶) and in a billion molecules of air for the ppb (10 ⁻⁹ ).
The mass concentration units µg/m³ and mg/m³ allow us to know the weight of a pollutant (10⁻⁶ for the milligram and 10⁻⁹ for the microgram) in 1 m³ of air.
